This site has a wealth of information regarding renewable fuels, renewable electricity, energy science and strategic energy analysis. One unique feature of this site is a dynamic mapping tool which allows users to search, filter and customize NRELs vast collection geographic information. This tool allows students explore the availability and feasibility of renewable energy resources throughout the United States.

AgSTAR an EPA Partnership Program

AgSTAR is an outreach program designed to reduce methane emissions from livestock waste management operations by promoting the use of biogas recovery systems. This site has a great Anaerobic Digestion 101 summary and links to Universities doing research in anaerobic digestion. This site also offers a free analytical tool called FarmWare which is designed to provide a preliminary assessment of the benefits of integrating anaerobic digestion into existing dairy or swine manure management systems which may be useful for students interested in AgScience.

 

Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center

This website offers a great deal of educational material developed by teachers associated with the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center with input from scientists. Lesson plans, lab experiences, videos and PowerPoint presentations are all free and available for download.
